otoi - Diccionario etimológico vasco-español-francés-inglés(1542) Pregar. De *ot- o *toi. Tal vez emparentado con samoyedo toi, japonés toi "id.". Hay un a forma otu en textos antiguos. En ural-altaico, cf. turco antiguo ötü-, mongol öti- "pregar. Guiliaco (nivx) ot’-, iot- "questionar". Acaso relacionado con el interogativo vasco ote.
(1542) Prier, demander. De *ot- (ou *toi apparenté au samoyède toi, japonais toi "id."). Une forme otu apparaît aussi dans les textes anciens. L’ouralo-altaïque (vieux-turc ötü- "prière", mongol öti- "demander, prier") pourrait également faire l’objet d’une comparaison. Le guiliak (nivx) a aussi une forme ot’-, iot- "poser une question". On peut peut-être aussi relier la forme à l’interrogatif basque ote.
