(s. XI) Yegua (Zool.). De una raíz proto-vasca *beh- "animal hembra" (cf. behi "vaca" ) emparentada con el burushaski behé "animal hembra".
(XIe s.) Jument (Zool.). D’une racine proto-basque *beh- "animal femelle" (cf. behi "vache" ) apparentée au bouroushaski behé "animal femelle".
