Mortise. From eurasian *sak- "split, cut, break" (cp. indoeuropean *sek- "to cut"). Cf. ural. *sak- (hung. szak- "segment"), altaic *sak-, jap. sak- "split". See also sakon, sakail.
Muesca. Del eurasiano *sak- "hendidura" (cp. indoeuropeo *sek- "cortar"). Cf. urál. sak- (húng. szak- "segmento"), altaico *sak-, jap. sak- "id.". Véase también sakon, sakail.
