(XIIIth c.) Leg. Old word of substratum cognate with urdu taang and wolof tank "id.", malagasy tongo "foot, leg", burushaski tanc "leg". Spanish zanca "leg", zanco "stilt".
(s. XIII) Pierna. Palabra antigua de substrato emparentada con el urdu taang y el wolof tank "id.", malgache tongo "pié, pierna", burushaski tanc "pierna". Castellano zanca "pierna", zanco.
(XIIIe s.) Jambe, patte. Vieux terme de substrat apparenté à l’ourdou taang et au wolof tank "id.", malgache tongo "pied, patte", bouroushaski tanc "jambe". Espagnol zanca "patte", zanco "échasse".

(HN) Rubia tinctorum (Bot.). From zan "root" and gorri "red". Is said also for the creeping potentila.
(AN) Rubia tinctorum (Bot). De zan "raíz" y gorri "rojo". Se dice también de la potentila rastrante.
(HN) Garance (Bot.). De zan "racine " et gorri "rouge". Se dit aussi de la potentille rampante.
