abere - Dictionnaire étymologique basque-français-espagnol-anglais (XIe s.) Animal, bétail. Du roman aver (vieux-gascon aber ) "biens, avoir, troupeau, fortune". Vieux castillan aberes "biens, richesse". Cf. ancien français XIIIe s. avres "biens, chevaux, boeufs" (Godefroy). Les formes en -l dans les mots composés (abel-) sont secondaires.
(s.XI) Ganado. Del romance aver (gascón antiguo aber "bienes, ganado". Cast. antiguo aberes "hacienda, bienes, riquezas". Cf. francés antiguo s.XIII avres "bienes, caballos, bueyes" (Godefroy). Las formas con -l en palabras compuestas (abel-) son secundarias.
(XIth c.) Animal, cattle. From roman aver (old gascon aber) "goods, cattle, richness", old spanish aberes "goods, hacienda". Cf. old french XIIIth c. avres "goods, horses, oxes" (Godefroy). The forms with -l (abel-) in compounds are secondary.
