Il y aurait plusieurs niveaux de cet anglais :
1) un anglais standard
2) un anglais syntaxiquement encore compréhensible avec un lexique particulier et des expressions particulières: billabong , etc... sans doute emprunté aux parlers aborigène
3) le strine que les autres anglophones ne comprennent quasiment pas
Serait-il possible d'avoir des informations et des échantillons écrits de ces différents niveaux de la langue anglaise pratiquée en Australie, à Sidney-Melbourne-Canberra(standard) et dans le bush (Alice Springs et autres endroits reculés) ?
Je pense que l'anglais néo-zélandais ne doit être sensiblement différent. |

Pour moi, le strine n'était pas une langue mais une sorte de "louchebem" australien... |

I must admit that I'm yet to read it.
Now let's ask the amateurs. The following guy gives an introduction to what he thinks is Broad Australian English ("strine"):

He's far from being scientific and talks rather about Aussie vocabulary only - but listen to his accent. I must say he is somewhere between "Strine" and "General Australian English". Can you hear what he does to his vowels?

To listen to General Australian English and/or Educated Australian English, I'd recommend you go to the Listen Online page of Radio National, a channel of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and click any program appealing to you. Remember there are a lot of immigrants from Britain in Australia, so you might happen to listen to a British presenter, by accident:
