ata - Diccionario etimológico vasco-español-francés-inglés(s. IV Veleia?) Padre. Vieja palabra proto-eurasiana. La forma de Veleia ata en lugar de aita sería en favor de la autenticidad de las inscripciones. La forma atta es atestiguada en aquitano. Cp. turco ata "id.", Wulfila atta, hurrita attai, tagalog tatay, arawak taita "id.", etc.
