From joare "bell" and dun "who has". Character of the basque folklore bearing a wool skin, bells on the belt and a high conic hat. Very old costum of the shepherds going back to the end of the neolithic time. A completeley similar dress can be seen by the Kukeri of the Rhodope mountains in Bulgaria.

De joare "cencerro" y dun "que tiene". Personaje del folclore vasco que lleva una piel, un máscara y cencerros al cinturón y un sombrero agudo muy alto. Es una vieja costumbre de los pastores del neolítico final. Un traje totalmente similar se puede ver con los Kukeri en los montes Rhodope de Bulgaria.

De joare "cloche, sonnaille" et dun "qui a". Personnage du folklore basque portant une peau, des cloches au ceinturon, un masque (anciennement) et un haut chapeau conique. Très vieille coutume des bergers de la fin du néolitique. Un costume absolument identique est visible chez les Kukeri des Monts Rhodope en Bulgarie.
