(IVth c.) Brother. Old proto-eurasian word. The base is *ana(j) "mother". Cp. berb. ana "brother", lezghian anai "mother", dravidian anna "brother", môn anaj "id.", japanese ani, inuit ani "brother", ana "aunt", navajo anaai "brother".
(s.IV) Hermano. Vieja palabra proto-eurasiana. La base es *ana(j) "madre". Cp. berb. ana "hermano", lezgiano anai "madre", dravídico anna "hermano", môn anaj "id.", japonés ani, inuit ani "hermano", ana "tía, navajo anaai "hermano".
