(1234) Ass (Zool.). From an older form arsto "id."., but there is an aquitanian form Astoiluno. Perhaps from *ar "male" and dim. suff. -sto. Cp. orri "leaf’" and orsto, osto "id.".
(1234) Asno, burro (Zool.). De arsto "id." mas antiguo pero hay una forma aquitana Astoiluno. Acaso de *ar "macho" y suf. dim. -sto. Cp. orri "hoja" y orsto, osto "id.".
(1234) Ane (Zool.). De arsto "id." en principe plus ancien, mais il existe une forme aquitaine Astoiluno. Eventuellement de *ar "mâle" et suff. dim. -sto. Cp orri "feuille" et orsto, osto "id.".
