(963) Back. From the eurasian stem * gVb- "convex". Cp. mongolian and tungus kebel "belly", semitic gebel, djebel "mountain". See also gibel "liver" and sabel "belly". This base is known also in indoeuropean: *ghebhal- "top", gr. kephale "head", germ. *gibl "gable", lat. *gib- "hump".
(963) Loma. De la raíz eurasiana *gVb- "convexo". Cp. mongol y tungús kebel "vientre", sem. gebel, djebel "montaña". Véase también gibel "hígado" y sabel "vientre". La base se halla también en indoeuropeo: *ghebhal- "cumbre", gr. kephale "cabeza"; germ.*gibl "aguilón", lat. *gib- "joroba".
(963) Dos, crête. De la racine eurasienne *gVb- "convexe". Cp. mongol et toungouse kebel "ventre", sémitique gebel, djebel "mont". Voir aussi gibel "foie" et sabel "ventre". Cette base est connue aussi de l’indo-européen: *ghebhal- "sommet", grec kephale "tête", germ. *gibl "gable" lat. *gib- "bosse".

(1562) Higado. Oscuro. Acaso de gi "materia, carne" y bel "negra" o emparentado con gibel "loma".
(1562) Foie. Peut-être de gi "matière, viande" et bel "noire" ou apparenté à gibel "dos".
