hagin - Etymological Basque Dictionary-French-Spanish-English
hagin
(prehist.) Tooth. Probably cognate with north-east caucasian hunzib hagin, xagin "tooth" (Isakov/Khalilov, 2001), bezhta hagna "id." and perhaps with yeniseian *aG- "id.". The latin etymology caninu of J. A. Lakarra is of course not serious.
(prehist.) Diente.

hagin
(XIth c.) Yew (Bot.). Cp. old spanish aguín , old sardinian agini "id.", old albanese aygni.
(s. XI) Tejo (Bot.). Cp. castellano antiguo aguín , sardo antiguo agini "id.", albanés antiguo aygni.
(XIe s.) If (Bot.). Cp. vieux-castillan aguín, vieux-sarde agini "id.", vieil-albanais aygni.
