(IVth c.) To eat. Stem *a or cognate with edan "to drink". Cf. however austronesian-oceanian kuanua ian "to eat", athapascan (na-dene) yan "id.", dogrib ?a "id." (Saxon and Siemens, 1996: 123).
(s.IV) Comer. Raíz *a o emparentado con edan "beber". Cf. sin embargo austronesio kuanua ian "comer", athapasco (na-dene) yan "id.", dogrib ?a "id." (Saxon y Siemens, 1996: 123).
(IVe s.) Manger. Racine *a ou apparenté à edan "boire". Cf. toutefois austronésien-océanien kuanua ian "manger", athapasque (na-dene) yan "id.", dogrib ?a "id." (Saxon et Siemens, 1996: 123).
