mantxu - Etymological Basque Dictionary-French-Spanish-English(HN, R, G) One-armed, lame. From romance navarrese mancho "id.". One can find the name Mancho in Roncal (XIVth c.) and el mancho as soon as 1288: "la vynna de don Garcia Johan el mancho carnicero" (El Gran Priorado de Navarra).
(AN, R, G) Manco, cojo. Del romance navarro mancho "id.". Se halla Mancho en Roncal en el s. XIV y el mancho en 1288: "la vynna de don Garcia Johan el mancho carnicero" (El Gran Priorado de Navarra).
(HN, R, G) Manchot, boîteux. Du roman navarrais mancho "id.". On trouve le nom Mancho en Roncal au XIVe s. et el mancho dès 1288: "la vynna de don Garcia Johan el mancho carnicero" (El Gran Priorado de Navarra).
