(1249) Superior, head. The word has been compared with ethiopian negus or japanese nushi, samoyed nüshi "master", nacsiaro "kingdom". Note the japanese and the samoyed forms. The reconstruction of Lakarra *da-dun-tz-i has no value.

(1249) Supérieur, chef, principal. Ce terme a fait l’objet de plusieurs comparaisons, depuis l’éthiopien negus jusqu’au au japonais nushi en passant par le samoyède nüshi "maître" et nacsiaro "royaume, règne". On notera la correspondance entre le japonais et le samoyède. Reconstruction sans valeur de Lakarra *da-dun-tz-i. Var. nausi, nabusi, nagosi.
