suge - Etymological Basque Dictionary-French-Spanish-English(978?) Snake (Zool.). Cognate with estonian siug "id.", uralian *suge "worm", yeniseian thieg "id.", halkomelem th’ekw "worm" (Galloway, 2009: 773). The notion of worm, snake, dragon is often represented by the same stem in different languages and cultures (cf. for instance germ. Lindwurm "dragon"). See also Erensuge and Sugaar.
(978?) Serpiente (Zool.). Emparentado con estoniano siug "id.", urálico *suge "gusano", yeniseio thieg "id.", halkomelem th’ekw "gusano" (Galloway, 2009: 773). La noción de gusano, serpiente, dragón es frecuentemente representada por la misma raiz en varias lenguas y culturas (cf. por ej. al. Lindwurm "dragón"). Véase Erensuge y Sugaar.
