lertxun - Dictionnaire étymologique basque-français-espagnol-anglaisPeuplier-tremble (Bot.). Cp. peut-être turc lerz "trembler, tremble". Mais le terme est indissociable de la var. eltzun "id.". La comparaison de J. Braun avec le vx géorgien na-zu ("Euscaro-caucasica", Iker 1, 214) est très peu convaincante. Var. lertzun (G), lertxoin (HN), lertsun (ce dernier en toponymie médiévale).
Alamo (Bot.). Cp. acaso turco lerz "temblar". Pero la palabra hay una var. eltzun. La comparación de J. Braun con el georgiano antiguo na-zu ("Euscaro-caucasica", Iker 1, 214) es muy poco convincente. Var. lertzun (G), lertxoin (AN), lertsun (esta última en la toponimia medieval).
Poplar (Bot.). Cp. perhaps turkish lerz "to tremble". But the word has a var. eltzun "id.". The comparison of J. Braun with old georgian na-zu is not convincing. Var. lertzun (G), lertxoin (HN), lertsoin (the latter in the medieval toponymy).
