otxar - Dictionnaire étymologique basque-français-espagnol-anglaisGarance (Bot.). Peut-être de otso "loup, sauvage" et (bel)ar "plante". Le composé otso-belhar existe mais désigne l’ellébore. Cf. aussi otsalar "églantier, rosier sauvage".
Rubia, granza (Bot.). Quizá de otso "lobo, silvestre" y (bel)ar "planta". Hay también otso-belhar "eléboro". Cf. también otsalar "rosa silvestre".
Hellebore (Bot.). Perhaps from otso "wolf, wild" and (bel)ar "plant". The compounded word otso-belhar means also. Cf. also otsalar "wild rose".
